We hiked with his dog - Shy - saw some old gold mines, climbed up steep rocks (you only go on paths that you’re comfortable with, so it's very suitable for hikers of all levels), and ate delicious food. The van was comfortable and Jiao was full of personal stories as well as information about the Douro Valley. 2 wine-tastings with explanations were excellent - the smaller one with a guitar concert by another tour guide- was more intimate. Lunch in a restaurant was delicious and gave us more time to get to know our group. Boat ride was relaxing and picturesque. You could tell that Jiao really loves what he does.Read more”
